Apprenticeship Guidelines
The words Gnosis Seauton or Know Thyself were inscribed upon the gates of the oracle of Delphi. The quest for self-knowledge and higher understanding of our individual purpose is perhaps the greatest journey of all. Through daily discipline and focused study an apprentice can acquire the knowledge and tools necessary to accomplish the ultimate task of discovering themselves.
The situations and circumstances may change yet the essential concept has stayed the same. Some apprentices have gone on tour with me helping me teach raw food seminars and classes all over the world. Other apprentices have worked in the restaurants or the catering company, these days apprentices study and work with me on my farm in Hawaii.
I always ask two things of my apprentices.
Ask Good Questions- peel back the layers of understanding with curiosity.
Be Dedicated –follow your path to the fullest be disciplined and focused.
Although I teach many skills and practices and a wide range of esoteric knowledge I seek most to instill a sense of values and goodness in my apprentices. Whether I teach of raw food or the healing path of plants all factual knowledge is secondary to these:
Self Worth
Self Knowledge
Self Reliance
Integrity
Honesty
Communication
Clarity
Responsibility
It is my greatest hope that each person whos life I have the opportunity to enhance comes away with those qualities or at least an understanding of the path and practice to finding the hidden power of transformation within.
Apprenticeships are full work trade only and are based on the “ante up” principle. The more you contribute and practice and push yourself the more I will teach and assist you. Participation is mandatory in order to get anything out of the experience. If you want to have an easy supportive learning experience I suggest you take some classes. Apprenticeships can be extremely challenging and require dedication and a thirst for learning.
