The Raw Experience

The Raw Experience was one of the greatest adventures ever embarked upon. Jeremy Safron and Renee Underkoffler with the help of many devoted kind souls brought to life an experience in food, fun, education, comunity, health and magic.

The Raw Experience provided food service as a full time restaurant and catering company. The first store was located at 42 Baldwin Ave in Paia on the tropical isle of Maui Hawaii . The second store was located in the sunset district of San Fransico California.

The Maui store functioned as a networking and education center for the local and global raw food movement providing weekly classes, guest speakers, a huge in depth library on raw and living foods, a monthly support group and a newsletter called "The Living Planet". The Raw Experince opened originaly in 1996.

The menu was know to include drinks such as the world famous "Volcano Blood Builder" a drink containing freshly opened young coconut water (a substance known to be identical to human blood plasma which makes up 55% of our blood) and one ounce of hand pressed wheatgrass juice (known for its close resemblance to human hemin that makes up 22% of our blood) blended with beet jucie, or the wide range of exotic smoothies with cherimoya, panini, or rolenia deliciosa. The menu also included dishes such as coconut chips and papaya salsa, a variety of pizzas, the Rawitch, and of course the world famous pie. Eggfruit pie, Mango Papaya Coconut Kreme Pie, and the Antler-free Choco-not Moose Pie were just a few of the favorites.

The Raw Exp functioned on love and devotion many people came forward and dedicated there time, energy, and faith into making the Raw a reality.
